Published: 19 February 2023

Central European Conference

The theme of the 6th CEC conference is Pathways: Building (Y)our Future. It will focus on the prospective sectors for a career in the region, look at the future of its markets, and discuss contemporary issues, threats, and opportunities that Central Europe presents.

We would like to extend a warm invitation to the sixth annual Central European Conference, the biggest student conference focusing on the Central European region.

The conference will be taking place on 4 March 2023, in the New Academic Building at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Given today's fast-paced, competitive job market and the turbulent times the past year has brought us, this year’s event titled 'Pathways: Building Your Future' aims to bring together students and professionals from various industries and help them explore diverse career pathways and opportunities in our region and beyond.

The conference, supported by the Czech and Slovak Embassies in London, will feature a range of exciting keynote speakers and interactive sessions. Notably, attendees can look forward to:

  • An online welcome address by the Czech Prime Minister, Petr Fiala
  • Inspiring talks from internationally successful figures such as the ex-Minister of Finance of Slovakia, Ivan Mikloš, or the co-founder of Deepnote, Filip Stollár
  • Discussion panels addressing the macroeconomic challenges facing the Czech Republic and Slovakia or the tricky pathway to sustainability
  • Workshops focused on both career and personal development with topics spanning from guides to writing a successful job application to tips to enhance your romantic relationships
